Article 3. of the Universal Declaration of Human Right
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.
The respect for life is the precondition for the implementation of all the other human rights. The respect for the right to life must be completely considered: it is pursued on the implementation of all those rights that deal with human being, whether they are civil, economic, political, social or cultural rights.
The full enjoyment of the right to life is closely connected with liberty and security, that’s when man is free from poverty, pollution, dictatorship and authoritarianism, from a single-track thinking, when man is free to profess one’s religion or any religion, to exercise his right of citizenship, to chose a job, to realise a way of worthy life, to share, accept or pursue aim of peace and the common good.
To ensure to each person a prospective, it’s necessary not only the implementation of a constitutional state and the respect of the democratic principles, but also the real implementation of specific social policies and the creation of an economic, political, educational context which facilitates the exercises of these rights and freedoms from all.
